Signing has taken place in the Palace of Independence Astana during the session of the Astana economic forum devoted to influence of technologies on development of financial centers.

"Distribution of modern payment technologies opens new opportunities for businessmen, financial institutions and the state. Solutions which are proposed by Mastercard are applied in the most different spheres: management of the city and region, transport, services industry and hospitality, travel business, education. We hope that partnership of MasterCard and the international financial center "Astana" will become an important milestone in development of non-cash economy in Kazakhstan," Chief of MasterCard in Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus and Armenia Alexey Malinovsky told.

The managing director of the international financial center "Astana" Kayrat Kelimbetov noted that thanks to the international payment service provider the country gets access to examination and the international experiment on creation of the technological and effective environment for residents of financial center. 

"It will promote successful development of MFTsA and will make the platform a sample of innovative infrastructure for the clever cities of the future across all Kazakhstan," he noted.

The collaboration aimed at providing availability of financial services, a basis for which financial literacy of the population forms, will also become an important part of partnership. Within this task of the party plan to work on creation of the appropriate educational programs and campaigns.

Besides, it is planned that Mastercard will support creation of an accelerator of financial technical-startups of MFTsA, having introduced the unique global experience in this sphere.

It should be noted that Mastercard works in Kazakhstan 22 years and consistently develops non-cash economy of the state. The payment service provider cooperates with the largest banks, the trade and service enterprises and other participants of the market to introduce innovative payment solutions in the market of Kazakhstan. Only in recent years the number of participating banks of payment service provider has grown more than twice.

Works on connection of new banks, and also on introduction of technological and grocery innovations are continued.
